Chart interaction changes
The following are the chart interaction changes.
1. Improved chart details panel
The following are the improved chart details panel.
Improved UI for better readability.
Individual KPI, dimension, and filter details are shown in a separate panel for easier
2. Dimension selection window
The following is the change in the dimension selection window.
Clicking on the selected dimension will open the dimension listing panel with a focus on preselected values.
This panel will allow users to add/remove dimensions from the chart.
Users can remove the dimension without opening the dimension listing window.
3. Chart legend
The following is the change in the chart legend.
Chart legend is available at the bottom of the chart. It’ll include details like KPI names, absolute values, value change, and color corresponding to the KPIs.
4. Chart details tooltip
The following is the change in the chart details tooltip.
Hovering over individual chart entities will show the KPI value details corresponding to the dimension value in focus.
5. Chart drill down
The following is the change in the chart drill down.
Clicking on a specific dimension value will apply that as a filter.
6. Chart slider
The following are changes in the chart slider.
Improved slider design allows easier navigation when the chart has too many values to fit in the normal view.
7. Date filter
The following are changes in the date filter interaction.
The date filter now shows the active selection box - a box will appear around the active date selection window. This will help users to know if they are selecting report_start_date or report_end_date before clicking the calendar icon.
The selection box will keep alternating between report_start_date and report_end_date so users can easily select required dates with just 2 clicks on the calendar.
Chart visualization changes
The following are visualization changes.
1. Color choices
The following are changes in chart visualization - color palette.
- A wide range of colors has been introduced in chart visualization for better readability.
2. Combination chart
The following are changes in the combination chart visualization.
Inline bar chart visualization is added within the table chart for better readability.
In compare mode, these bar charts will show the absolute values for both time periods.
In normal mode, these bars will show the % contribution of that dimension value.
3. Line chart
The following is the change in the line chart visualization.
Compare mode data is shown with dotted lines for better readability.
5. Area chart
The following is the change in the area chart visualization.
The area chart will use semi-transparent colors for better readability. This is specifically useful when lines are intersecting with each other.
6. Funnel chart
The following are changes in the funnel chart visualization.
Improved chart visualization for better readability
Key values like actual number of customers, % drop per step, and % conversion per step will be available on the chart visualization itself.
All data points are seen in the table format as well.
7. Migration chart
The following are changes in the migration chart visualization.
Segment selection is now available on the chart view itself.
In the case of a single migration chart, partition selection and time period selection is available on the chart view.
