Limit messages to send through campaigns

  • To enable communication limit feature for an org, log a JIRA ticket assigning it to the Engage+ Developer team. You cannot see this option if it is not enabled.

When broadcasting multiple marketing campaigns there are chances of sending a campaign message to the same customer multiple times, resulting in customer dissatisfaction and ire.  Engage+ allows you to limit the number of messages to be sent for each communication channel and overall messages. For each channel, you can set daily, weekly, and monthly limit.

  • Day: 12:00 AM until 11:59 PM

  • Week:  Sunday 12:00 AM until the next Saturday 11:59 PM

  • Month: 12:00 AM on the first of a month until 11:59 PM on the last day of the same month

To limit the number of messages to be sent through Engage+, follow these steps.

  1. On the Engage+ home page, click, and navigate to the Incentives page.
  2. Click +Add limits.
  3. In Channel, select the channel for which you want to set limit.
To set a limit on overall messages (across channels), choose Overall.,
  4. Select the desired option by which you want to set limit.
    - Daily: Check to set a daily limit and enter the limit value in the respective box. For example, 100 messages per day.
    - Weekly: Check this to set a weekly limit and enter the limit value in the respective box. For example, 500 messages per week.
    - Monthly: Check this to set a monthly limit and enter the limit value in the respective box. For example, 2500 messages per month.
  • For any option (specific channel or overall channels), daily limit < weekly limit < monthly limit. For example, if you set SMS limit - 2, Email limit - 3, and Overall limit - 4,  a maximum of 2 messages can be sent through SMS, 3 messages through email. However, the total of both SMS and email messages will not cross four. That is, either 2 SMS and 2 emails are sent, or 1 SMS and 3 emails are sent according to the order in which messages are sent.
  • To edit the channel limit, hover the pointer over the ellipses (…) symbol and then click Edit.
  • To delete the channel limit, hover the pointer over the ellipses (…) symbol and then click Delete.
