The Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) passed by the Singapore government provides consumers control over the marketing messages they receive on their phones. The PDPA prohibits organizations from sending marketing messages to Singapore telephone numbers that are registered with the DNC registry, unless an organization has the recipients’ consent.
If an organization wants to send marketing messages to Singapore telephone numbers, it must submit its list of numbers to Do Not Call (DNC) registry. After verifying that the numbers in the list are not in the DNC registry, it can then send marketing messages for 30 days. If the organization intends to send marketing message after the 30 day period has lapsed, it must submit its list of numbers to the DNC registry again.
The Capillary Campaign Manager is fully compliant with PDPA. It uses the following rules while sending marketing messages to Singapore customers.
Opt-In Type | Customer Subscription status | DNC registered? | 30-day period lapsed? | Marketing communication sent? |
